At Coffee Innovate 2026, hosted at the Central Coffee Research Institute (CCRI) in Seegodu, Chikkamagaluru, we officially introduced Coffex.
Set against the backdrop of some of India’s most beautiful coffee plantations, the event brought together planters, FPOs, exporters, startups, retail coffee brands, researchers, and Coffee Board stakeholders who share a common goal: strengthening the coffee ecosystem.
The response was overwhelmingly positive.
Over the course of the day, we engaged with estate owners, planter associations, FPO leaders, curing works, startups, and CCRI scientists. One theme emerged repeatedly: the coffee ecosystem is rich in relationships, expertise, and opportunity, but market information remains fragmented.
Coffex is being built to address exactly that.
At its core, Coffex is a matchmaking and intelligence platform for the coffee ecosystem—connecting buyers, sellers, exporters, planters, FPOs, curing works, and other stakeholders through data-driven market discovery.
Our Pricing Intelligence layer combines market data, auction data, futures-linked signals, and eventually crowdsourced ecosystem data to help participants better understand coffee realization, demand trends, and market opportunities.
What excited us most were the conversations that followed. Several participants expressed interest in contributing data, collaborating on pilots, and helping build a stronger information exchange across the ecosystem. We also look forward to working closely with fellow startups incubated at AIC-CCRI-CED, where complementary solutions can create win-win outcomes for growers, buyers, and the broader industry.
If successful, the benefits are significant:

This is still the beginning, but the foundation is forming.
The future of coffee will not be built by a single participant—it will be built by an ecosystem that shares intelligence, collaborates openly, and creates value together.
